PSB CLERICAL RECRUITMENT PROJECT – 2010-11

Punjab & Sind Bank invites Applications from Indian Citizens for appointment in Clerical Cadre
(Clerk cum Cashier) for different States/UTs

Important dates:

Total Number of Vacancies: 250

Scale of Pay: (likely to be revised) Rs. 4,410/- – Rs. 13,210/-

Eligibility Criteria:
a) Pass with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in Higher Secondary examination/ 10+2 of 10+2+3 pattern OR its equivalent from a recognized Board OR Degree in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized University. Knowledge of Computers: Essential for all category of candidates (i)Proficiency in Windows/MS Office, (ii) Certificate/Diploma in Computer Operations from NIIT, SSI, Aptech, MICE, STQC, CMC etc. OR O/A/B/C level certificate of DOEACC OR BCA OR Computer Science as one of the subjects covering MS word, Excel, Access etc. in Degree level.
b) Age Not more than 26 years as on 31/12/2009.
c) Application fee Rs. 300/- for general category and Rs 50/- for SC/ST, to be paid along with application by means of Demand Draft Pay Order favouring “Punjab & Sind Bank A/C Clerical Recruitment Project – 2010-11” payable at ‘Mumbai’.

Probation:
6 months, Confirmation subject to satisfactory performance.

Mode of Selection:
The Written Test (Objective Tests + Descriptive Paper). The Objective Tests consisting of (1) Test of Reasoning Ability, (2) Test of Numerical Ability, (3) Test of English Language, (4) Test of Clerical Aptitude, (5) Test of Computer knowledge. Descriptive Paper on English Comprehension is for Qualifying Test only. Written will be followed by an interview.
